Small Ensembles

Small Ensembles are groups of 2 or more musicians playing chamber music. Coached by professional musicians.

Ensembles perform for many different venues: calendar events, master classes and recitals. Initial placement is based on player ability. String players must play in one of LHSO’s orchestras to participate, excluding keyboard players.

Chamber Music Parties

A chance for young string players to rehearse, to recieve a coaching from our conductors, and to perform during regular rehearsal time on several Mondays after our Fall Concert. A duet, trio, quartet, or choir- the student can choose. Musician may play in different groups. Chamber and seasonal music is played. This playing opportunity is open to non LHSO members. Parents are also invited to play. Cost is TBA.
